It is more difficult because I am a self admitted terrible frog catcher. I just am not quick enough and they always slide through my fingers or disappear into the depths of ponds or rocks. Out of sight, out of mind.
I'm not sure why it is easier to capture these curious critters with an iphone camera than my hands. But alas, pictures are proof!
Many frogs and toads have leaped in and out of my life this year. Some startle me by hopping out from under my boot, some I track down following their big voices to their tiny bodies.
